Alabama has joined Louisiana and Arkansas in filing a lawsuit directly in the U.S. Supreme Court to block the mailing of abortion pills into states where abortion is banned, challenging so-called 'shield laws' from New York, California, and Massachusetts. Alabama Attorney General Steve Marshall accuses out-of-state providers of illegally shipping abortion drugs and seeks to halt deliveries and obtain damages.
